COACHING/MENTORING

Over the past seventeen years, Steven has been mentoring individuals and leaders in a wide variety of occupations. He is a proven mentor with the demonstrated ability to empower, inspire, and develop emerging leaders. He loves to share his knowledge and passion with the next generation. He is passionate about future leaders living life with meaning, joy, and excitement. To that end, Steven also teaches at Trinity Western University in the Bachelor of Leadership department. His teaching curriculum consisting of courses in contemporary leadership approaches, change management, and culture.

STRATEGIC LEADERSHIP

Steven has a proven ability to oversee complex organizations and provide strategic direction. He also excels at managing complex and sensitive situations, especially during seasons of necessary organizational change. He efficiently interacts with and leads staff at all levels of an organization to create a culture of authenticity and teamwork. 

NON PROFIT VISIONARY

Along with his consulting and coaching career, Steven is the founder and chief executive of a radical leadership development effort in Africa. Global Joy Foundation is a not for profit organization that serves to mentor future leaders in the area of authentic servant leadership with the ultimate hope of future systemic changes in the nation. At present, he has acquired partnerships from national politicians, academics, business and religious leaders throughout the nation of Uganda. Many have volunteered their time to learn this radical style of leadership and mentor/coach others to do the same. 

SPEAKER

Steven is a seasoned speaker who inspires groups and individuals for greater clarity and purpose. He has spoken to various sized crowds, and in a multitude of settings throughout the world. But the usual consensus is that when you hear Steven speak, you will not only acquire a depth of information, but you will be motivated and inspired. Beyond the explanation of pertinent information, you will have an experience that will truly impact your life. 

LIFE LONG LEARNER

Aside from mentoring, Steven loves learning. His favorite motto for leadership is, "If you don't read, you can't lead." If he is not leading, guiding, or spending time with family and friends, you can usually find him at a local Starbucks or in his office, reading. Steven loves learning new ideas, concepts, and truth that he shares liberally to anyone who wants to grow. 

GLOBAL PERSPECTIVe

Steven has also traveled extensively throughout the world, at times engaging in parts of the world where most people would not venture. Countries such as North Korea, regions near Somalia, Uganda, Kenya, Brazil, China, Japan, and South Korea are some of the countries where Steven traveled for work. As such, Steven has garnered a perspective of global leadership issues that is incredibly broad in scope.  

HEALTH AND WELLNESS

Steven is a natural athlete and excelled in many sports when he was in high school and beyond. He strongly believes in the connection between the mental, spiritual, and the physical as it relates to well being. He and his wife lead healthy lives and are partners in pursing wholeness in the family and beyond. Steven's wife Sonya is a certified health and wellness coach from the renowned Integrative Nutrition and Wellness Institute based in New York. 

FAMILY LIFE

Steven is devoted to his family and loves his wife and children deeply. He met his wife in university, and considers her his best friend. He is very proud of his two children, not only for their accomplishments but for the people they have become and continue to become. He also loves his German Shepherd dog and enjoys her company. For Steven, his family will always take priority in his life!

EDUCATION

Steven holds a Master in Psychology of Leadership degree from Penn State University. He also holds a Master of Divinity from Fuller Theological Seminary and a Bachelors in Psychology from the University of Western in Ontario, Canada. He and his family currently reside in Langley, British Columbia, Canada.
